Due to an account system update, any Nexon account created via Steam on or after December 11, 2015 requires that you set a password to access and play Nexon games.
You also need a password to access our game forums, purchase NX, and contact Customer Support from the Nexon Support Center.
This article describes how to use the Reset Your Password option in Account Self-Service to set your password.

Setting passwords for active email accounts
Use the following steps if you know the email registered to your Nexon account and you either can access its mailbox or have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled.
To set your password:
- Go to any Nexon login page, and then click Trouble logging in to access Account Self-Service.
Note: To access a login page, go to Nexon Home (Nexon.com) or the game’s official homepage, and then click Log In, or you can open the Nexon Launcher.
- Click Reset Your Password.
- In Email Address, enter the email address for your Nexon account, and then click Next.
The Verify Your Account window is displayed.
To confirm your identity, a verification code is sent to either your email address or mobile phone (registered to your Nexon account). If using the Authenticator App, use that 6-digit code instead.
- Enter the verification code.
- In New Password, enter a password that meets the password policy requirements. For more information, see Password policy and features.
- In Confirm New Password, enter your password again, and then click Reset.
You can now log in to your Nexon account from Nexon Home, Nexon Launcher, or Steam with your newly entered password.
Setting passwords for unknown/inactive email accounts
Use the following steps if you:
- Do not remember which email you used to create your Nexon account, or
- Know the email registered to your account, but cannot access its mailbox and do not have 2FA enabled.
To set your password:
- Go to any Nexon login page, and then click Trouble logging in to access Account Self-Service.
Note: To access a login page, go to Nexon Home (Nexon.com) or the game’s official homepage, and then click Log In, or you can open the Nexon Launcher.
- Click Reset Your Password.
- Click No longer have access to this email.
The Verify Account Ownership window is displayed.
- Fill out as much information as you can. If you are unsure of an answer, leave the field blank.
- If prompted, confirm or change the email address registered to your account, and then click Update.
- In New Password, enter a password that meets the password policy requirements (see Password policy and features).
- In Confirm New Password, enter your password again, and then click Reset.
You can now log in to your Nexon account from Nexon Home, Nexon Launcher, or Steam with your newly entered password.
