Setting up Parental Controls makes your regular Nexon account a parent account. As a parent account, you can build a family of child accounts, known as family members, and you can manage each child account that you add.
This article describes how to set up Parental Controls using the dashboard in your Account Settings, or by initiating the process from your child’s request email.

Providing verifiable parental consent
Verifiable parental consent (VPC) helps ensure that parents or guardians know what information about their child is being shared with whom.
You only need to provide VPC once using a valid credit/debit card to confirm your identity. There may be a charge, no greater than $1, to validate the card, which is automatically voided.
To provide VPC:
- Access the Parental Controls setup page.
Do either of the following:
- Open your child’s email request
- Review the message, click Setup Parental Control, and then log in to your Nexon account.
- Review the message, click Setup Parental Control, and then log in to your Nexon account.
- Use the Parental Controls dashboard
- Go to Nexon Home (Nexon.com) or Nexon Launcher.
- Log in to your Nexon account.
- From your account menu, click Account Settings.
- Click Parental Controls.
To confirm your identity, a verification code is sent to either your email address or mobile phone. If using the Authenticator App, use that 6-digit code instead. - Enter the verification code.
Note: Verification is required each time you initially access Parental Controls after logging in to your account. This verification remains in effect until you log off of your account.
- Under Parental Controls, click Set.
- Open your child’s email request
- Click Agree and Start.
- Complete the payment form, and then click Authorize.
To confirm your identity, a verification code is sent to your mobile phone. - Enter the verification code, and the click Submit.
Parental consent is now complete and you are ready to either create an account for your child or add your child’s existing account to yours, see Adding Child Accounts.
