Users under a certain age can only play Nexon games using a Nexon child account until they reach the minimum age requirement for their country. For example, in the United States, the minimum age is 13 and in most member states of the European Union, the minimum age is 16.
If your child wants a Nexon account, they can either send an email request to you through Nexon, or you can create an account for them using the Parental Controls feature.
To use Parental Controls you must have a regular Nexon account. If you do not already one, create an account for yourself before continuing, see Creating and Verifying a New Nexon Account.

Accessing Parental Controls

- See your account status and disable Parental Controls.
- View your family members list.
- Control the status of each child account.
- Review the personal information (email/full name) for each child account.
- See which games you have allowed your child to play and reset this permission as needed.
- Remove child accounts from your parental account after they have reached the minimum age requirement for their country.
Note: While child accounts can access the Parental Controls dashboard, they can only see their own status.
To access Parental Controls:
- Go to Nexon Home (Nexon.com) or Nexon Launcher.
- Log in to your Nexon account.
- From your account menu, click Account Settings.
- Click Parental Controls.
To confirm your identity, a verification code is sent to either your email address or mobile phone. If using the Authenticator App, use that 6-digit code instead. - Enter the verification code.
Note: Verification is required each time you log in and initially access Parental Controls. This verification remains in effect until you log off your account.
You can now see your Parental Controls status, view your family member list, and manage each connected child account.
Status (parent account)
For a parent account, the status is displayed as Family Holder. This means that you are the holder of parental responsibility and can control all child accounts connected to your account, which are shown as family members.
To stop being a Family Holder and revert back to a regular account, you can disable Parental Controls. However, to do this, you must first release all connected child accounts.
Important: If you release a child account and the user is still under the minimum age requirement, then their account will not work until it is connected to another parent account, or the child reaches the appropriate age, whichever comes first. |
Disabling Parental Controls
To disable parental controls:
- Access Parental Controls, see Accessing Parental Controls.
- In Status, click Disable.
- Click Disable.
- Click Close.
Your Parental Controls status changes to Not Set and your parent account is reverted back to a regular one.

Status (child account)
When you connect a child account your parent account, the child account status is set to Active by default. This means that the account’s ability to log in is turned on.
As a parent or guardian, you control your child’s ability to use their Nexon account. If you want to prevent your child from logging in and playing Nexon games, you can change the status to Inactive, which turns off the account so that your child cannot log in until you turn the account back on.
Turning child accounts off/on
To turn a child account off/on:
- Access Parental Controls, see Accessing Parental Controls.
- In Family Members, locate the child account that you want to turn off/on, and then click Manage.

Allowed Games
Before your child can play any Nexon games, they need your approval. When your child attempts to play a game for the first time, you are notified via email. This email contains a unique, one-time use PIN that you can give to your child if you approve.
Each initial log in attempt to play a game generates a separate approval email and PIN.
The Allowed Games section displays all games that your child has accessed using a PIN.
If your child has selected to skip future PIN requirements, they are able to play allowed games without a PIN. However, you can reset this option at any time if you want to control your child’s ability to play games and require a PIN for each log in.
Note: If you reset game PIN requirements, the action is applied to all allowed games. You cannot reset specific games at this time.

- Access Parental Controls, see Accessing Parental Controls.
- In Family Members, locate the child account for which you want to reset game PIN requirements, and then click Manage.
- Click Reset.
- Click Confirm.
- Click Close.
