Corrupted local game files, or files missing from the game installation folder, can cause various login problems or errors while playing a game. Repairing corrupted and/or replacing missing files can fix many of these game issues.
To see how to fix your Nexon game files, watch our video on YouTube (see below).
Fixing corrupt or missing game files
Use the steps below to fix your Nexon game files based on how you are opening the game.
Note: While fixing game files, avoid running other system-intensive processes, such as defragmenting your hard drive or scanning for viruses, as this can degrade your computer’s performance.
Nexon Launcher
Note: It is recommended that you attempt to repair corrupted files first. Then, if your issues continue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game files.
- From Nexon Launcher, log in to your Nexon account.
- Select the game that needs to be repaired and click on the Game Settings icon.
Alternately, from your account menu, click Launcher Settings. Then, click the Game Configure tab and select the appropriate game icon.
- Under Repair/Uninstall, click:
- Repair Installation to repair game files, or
- Uninstall to remove game files.
- Click OK to begin.
The Nexon Launcher now either verifies your game files before repairing and/or replacing missing ones, or starts the uninstallation process.
- If you uninstalled the game files, from the game page, click Download to reinstall the files.
Note: Downloading and installing the game files may take a few minutes depending on your network speed.
You can now play the game and check if your issue is resolved.
Steam
- Log in to your Steam account from the Steam client.
- Open your Steam Library.
- Click the Library tab.
- Click Games > View Games Library.
- Click the Library tab.
- Right-click the appropriate game, and then click Properties.
Alternately, you can click the click the Manage icon from the game's Library page, and then click Properties.
- Click the Local Files tab.
- Click Verify integrity of game files.
Steam now compares the game files on your computer with the ones on the Steam servers. This process may take several minutes. Any corrupt or missing game files are repaired or reacquired.
- After the files are successfully validated, close the Properties window.
You can now play the game and check if your issue is resolved.
